Chronic sinus infections affect millions of people all over the world. A chronic sinus infection can seriously affect your quality of life.

Some common symptoms of sinus infection include facial pains in the location of the sinus cavities, headache, cough, bad breath, post nasal drip and many others.

The long standing way to treat sinus infections has been to prescribe antibiotics. Doctors have always assumed that chronic sinus infection was caused by bacteria.

In 1999, the Mayo Clinic did a study and they found that almost all cases of chronic sinus infections were not caused by bacteria, but by fungus.

So if you suffer from chronic sinus infections, make sure to see your doctor and get a proper diagnosis of what is actually causing your sinus problems.
