I retired a decade ago and it seems these days that all my friends are getting sick, having surgery or going into old age homes for one reason or another. At age 75 many of my friends are over 70, so I guess that is to be expected.
One of the things I was always at a loss for was what to do when I have heard a dear friend has had a stroke, heart attack or is simply not feeling well. Phone calls would be the easiest but I run a home based business and still travel a lot so I don’t always have the time. I know most of your are probably thinking, this is the digital age so just fire off a quick email but that is much too impersonal. I decided to purchase some quality blank postcards so I can print them up at home and send them off to those that are sick.
I simply come up with a personalized message and print it up with an attractive font and then mail it out via the local post office. I have plenty of time so I enjoy handwriting and mailing to friends. For some businesses that need to send large amount of postcards in short period of time, postcard mailing services may be an option. I would urge everyone to give this great idea a try!
